Next week we’ll go into detail about the World’s Richest investors. As popular as he is in Hollywood these days, at #228, the infamous Donald Trump will not be making the cut. The New York real estate mogul, and centerpiece of “The Apprentice” has a net worth of $2.6 billion with more than 18 million square feet of office and residential space in Manhattan. The Donald has spent the majority of his life expanding the real estate portfolio he inherited from his father. Currently his portfolio includes such prize properties as 40 Wall Street, Trump World Tower, Trump International Hotel & Tower. Complicated partnerships make ascertaining net worth difficult, and New Yorkers will tell he’s “nowhere as rich as you think he his.” but there's no confusing the success of West Side rail yard residential development: 80-acre parcel bought for $80 million in 1985 now fetching more than $2,000 per square foot. An avid golfer, Trumps first West Coast Venture, a golf course in Palos Verdes, is just about open. He’s now working on a new 18-hole golf course in Bedminster, N.J.
